  To do this,first connect the serial cable from the serial connector on the drive to the serial connector on the back of the laptop.Ensure to use cables with the required connectors on both ends.Access the configuration utility on the laptop to ensure that the serial port configuration is correct.Access the menu driven user interface on the frequency converter control panel and select the menu option to start downloading from the frequency converter.The configuration file is downloaded to the laptop.After successful completion,a message will appear on the control panel display screen.

  Wear a wristband,remove the board containing the PROM module,and place it on a static protective surface.Place a screwdriver between the module and the socket and pry open the module.Place the other end of the screwdriver on the socket and pry open the module.Immediately place it in an anti-static bag.
