  The 1746-A10 A-B SLC 10 slot chassis is a high-quality chassis designed specifically for industrial automation systems.It provides a convenient and secure way to organize and protect electronic modules.With its 10 slot design,it provides ample space for the installation of various modules.

  Allen Bradley 1746-A10 is a modular chassis used in conjunction with the SLC 500 system.1746-A10 has 10 slots for installing tabs.Its modular nature helps to configure the system according to its size.Users can shrink or expand the system.To expand the module slots to 30,please use chassis interconnect cables to interconnect with other chassis.The input/output adapter or processor is placed on the leftmost slot in the 3 chassis group.1746-A10 has 6 installation compartments.When installing 1746-A10,make sure to provide sufficient grounding.When grounding,please use a grounding busbar.

  The size of the grounding cable should be 14 AWG.When connecting the grounding bus,use 10 AWG copper wire to connect each chassis and use a steel casing to prevent EMI interference.To minimize the dependence of electrical contact between the door and shell on the hinge of the observation window,please install a dedicated bonding wire.The grounding electrode used in 1746-A10 should be at least 8 AWG copper wire size.

  This hardware carries electronic circuits and interconnect slots to distribute backplane power to connected modules.It can accommodate up to ten(10)SLC 500 modules(excluding power supplies).The power supply has a separate connection slot located on the far left side of the hardware.Only the SLC 500 power supply can be used with this hardware.

  The SLC 500 chassis(such as 1746-A10)allows the use of 1746-C9 and 1746-C7 expansion cables to connect or expand the chassis.Up to three(3)SLC chassis can be connected,totaling up to 30 SLC 500 modules.Each chassis should have a separate power supply.

  When installing the chassis,provide a installation gap of 15.3 centimeters or 6.0 inches for the top and bottom spaces,and a side gap of 10.2 centimeters or 4.0 inches.If installed next to another SLC chassis,maintain a gap of 7.7 cm to 10.2 cm or 3.0 to 4.0 inches.

  When installing the chassis,use M4 or M5 screws and star washers.Slide the chassis and tighten the screws to lock it in its installation position.Each chassis must be properly grounded using a grounding strip or adequately designed central grounding.

  Ensure appropriate spacing is achieved inside 1746-A10 to ensure good air ventilation inside the chassis.Use short wires to interconnect modules inside 1746-A10.The size of 1746-A10 is approximately 16.9 x 6.8 x 5.8 inches,with a weight of 1.45 kilograms without modules.The backplane current is 10A at 5.1V DC and 2.88A at 24V DC.The rated operating temperature of 1746-A10 is 32°F to 140°F,and the storage temperature is-40°F to 185°F.It is recommended to use 1746-A10 in an environment with a non condensing relative humidity of 5%to 95%.
