  Product Description

  FBM204,0 to 20 mA input/output includes four 20 mA DC analog input channels and four 20 mA DC analog output channels.Each input channel accepts analog sensor inputs,such as a 4 to 20mA transmitter or a self powered 20mA power supply.Each output channel drives an external load to generate an output of 0 to 20mA.Input/output with other channels and grounding.

  FBM204 performs signal conversion required for electrical input interface/outputs signals from field sensors to optional redundant fieldbus.FBM204 executes an analog I/O application program that provides configurable options for conversion time,fault safe configuration(hold/fallback),and analog output fault safe fallback data(based on each channel).The Fieldbus Module(FBM)can execute distributed PIDA(DPIDA)applications to provide a fast control loop that runs within it.

  FBM204 is electrically compatible with standard HARTSignals.

  High precision

  To achieve high accuracy,the module provides new analog input readings every 25 milliseconds on a channel basis,as well as configurable integration cycles to eliminate any process and/or noise and power line frequency.FBM converts each analog input into digital values at each time period,averages these values over a period of time,and provides the average value to the controller.

  Standard design

  FBM204 has a sturdy extruded aluminum casing that can be applied to circuits.The enclosure designed specifically for installing FBM provides various levels of environmental protection standards that comply with ISA standard S71.04.

  Visual indicator

  The front of the module integrates red and green light emitting diodes(LEDs)to provide visual status indication of FBM functions.

  Easy to disassemble/replace

  The module is installed on the Compact 200 series substrate.Two screw modules on the FBM fixture to the substrate.Module field device termination wiring or power or communication wiring can be removed/replaced without disassembly.

  Fieldbus communication

  Fieldbus communication module or control processor and

  The redundant 2Mbps module fieldbus used by FBM.FBM accepts communication from any path(A or B)of the 2Mbps fieldbus.If a path is unsuccessful or switches at the system level,the module continues to communicate through the active path.

  Modular substrate installation

  The module is installed on a modular substrate mounted on a DIN rail,which can accommodate up to four or eight FBMs.The modular base plate is DIN rail mounted or rack mounted,including redundant field bus signal connectors,redundant independent DC power supplies,and termination cables.

  Terminal components

  The on-site I/O signal is connected to the FBM subsystem through a TA installed on a DIN rail.

  The FBM204 module is installed on the substrate.The base plate can be installed on DIN rails(horizontal or vertical),or supporting components can be placed horizontally on a 19 inch rack using a bracket,or FBM204 can be installed on a 100 series conversion installation structure.Refer to the standard 200 series substrate(PSS 41H-2SBASPLT)or 100 series conversion installation structure(PSS 41H-2W8).

  Terminal components:

  TA is installed on DIN rails and can accommodate various DIN rail styles,including 32 millimeters(1.26 inches)and 35 millimeters(1.38 inches).
