  The FBM42 FOXBORO high-power contact/DC input/output interface block(expandable main module)and its corresponding high-power contact/DC expansion input/output interface module separately provide high current isolation on each output channel.Each module

  To provide digital field signals with the following input and output functions.

  Input FUNCTIONS-8 channels are used together or:

  ?Only contact induction,or

  Only DC voltage monitoring.

  Output function-8 channels for:

  Only use external power sources for DC output switching at high rated currents(such as controlling the power supply of various external loads).

  Each module performs the required signal conversion by redundantly converting these digital(i.e.on/off)electrical interface field input/output signals to sensors/actuators on the fieldbus.The independently expandable main module is connected to the fieldbus and can support a single expansion module.The expansion module is connected to the fieldbus module through any expandable backbone,functionally dependent on supporting the main module.
