  ASIC technology

  The Ultra SlimPak G408 is a DIN rail mount,providing flexible,wide range capabilities for DC current and voltage signals through on-site configurable input and output of DC input signals.The input can be configured to any of 12 voltage ranges,with 6 current ranges from 10mV to 100V or 1mA to 100mA.The output and input have a linear relationship and can be set to 0-5V,0-10V,0-1mA,0-20mA or 4-20mA(for models G408-0001)and-5 to+5V or-10 to+10V(for models G408-1001).

  Wide range,precise zero and span potentiometers allow for a 50%adjustable offset and span within each of the 18 switches,with a selectable range inward and downward.For example,the 0-2mA input range can be adjusted down to 0-1mA and provide a full scale output signal(e.g.

  4-20mA),or lower and offset to achieve a 1-2mA/4-20mAI/O combination.

  Diagnostic LED

  The G408 is equipped with a dual function LED signal monitor.This green,front LED indicates the status of the DC power supply and input signal.The active DC power supply is indicated by an illuminated LED.If the input signal exceeds 110%of full scale,the LED will flash at a frequency of 8Hz.Below-10%,with a flash rate of 4Hz.

  G408 has 18 input range settings.The fine tuning potentiometer allows for 50%input zero and span adjustability to scale the input range within each of the 18 full scales.

  Unless otherwise specified,the factory presets G408 Type-0001 and G408-1001 as follows:

  G408-0001

  Input range:4-20mA

  Output range:4-20mA

  The DC power input can accept any power supply between 9 and 30V;Usually,a 12V or 24VDC power supply is used.It is recommended to use shielded twisted pair at the input and output terminals to minimize interference from electric and magnetic fields.

  Warning!Do not change the switch settings while powered on.Can cause serious damage!

  Regarding the correct switch settings.You can also select the desired input range and functional settings by turning on SW1 to select the input type(voltage or current).Use SW2 to select the desired output type.
