  The 5B12N dual time base is used in conjunction with the Tektronix 5100 series oscilloscope.The plugin has two time base generators and can generate two independent scans or delayed scans.A scanning time base provides a normal scanning rate of microseconds/minute to 5 seconds/minute starting from 1;A 10 times magnifying glass expands the displayed scanning time/segmentation to 100 nanoseconds.B-scan provides a scanning rate of 0.2 microseconds per minute to 0.5 seconds per minute.The plugin also accepts external signals to be displayed instead of A cleaning the luminous knob skirt to provide direct reading scanning rate and deflection factor.

  5B12N has been calibrated and can be used as is.It can be installed on the 5100 series oscilloscope,but is mainly used in horizontal(right)compartments.If the instrument is used in one of the vertical compartments(such as providing vertical scanning),there is no echo cancellation;If used in the right vertical(center)compartment,internal triggering is provided.

  To install,please align the upper and lower rails of 5B 12N and use the oscilloscope plug-in to track and fully insert them(the plug in panel must be flush with the oscilloscope panel).To disassemble,pull the release latch to release 5B 12N from the oscilloscope.Even if the oscilloscope is standardized to eliminate the need for plug-in units,the scanning calibration of 5B12N should be checked to verify measurement accuracy.Trigger sources(A and B)Left,Right,or COMPOSITE.
