  The DS200GASCF1BGD GE software PROM kit has two PROM modules that can be used in conjunction with the GE Speedtronic Mark V board.These modules are used to store the configuration parameters of the drive.These modules were delivered to you without any configuration,allowing you to install using the same parameters as the defective board.It is stored on the old PROM module set.When selecting the same configuration,the best practice is to download the configuration from the previous module to a laptop or other device,and then upload it to the new module.Firstly,connect the serial cable from the connector on the drive to the connector on the back of the laptop and ensure that the correct cable is used.Access the configuration utility to ensure that the serial port configuration is correct.The user interface is menu driven and located on the driver control panel.Selecting the menu to start downloading from the drive will download the configuration file to the laptop.After successful completion,a message will appear on the control panel display screen.When installing,please wear a wrist strap and remove the board containing the PROM module to protect yourself and the device.
