  The GE generator control turbine board DS200CVMAG3A includes two 16 pin connectors and one 2 pin connector.The board is also equipped with 6 test points.A 16 pin connector is used to connect ribbon cables,which transmit control signals to multiple components and boards in the drive.Ribbon cables are easily damaged due to the thin wires connected to plastic connectors.When pulling the ribbon cable out of the connector on the board,be sure to hold the plastic connector.Hold the circuit board with one hand to prevent it from moving,and grab the connector with the other hand and pull it out.If possible,please follow the ribbon cable to the other end and ensure that it is fully secured in the connector.

  If you find that the circuit board is not working properly after starting the driver,you may suspect the ribbon cables and visually inspect the thin wires connected to the plastic connectors.If you notice that one or more wires may have been disconnected from the connector,replace the ribbon cable.

  Six test points are useful tools for diagnosing circuit boards.The test point is designed to enable you to isolate and test a specific circuit on the circuit board.Due to the current in the circuit board and surrounding components,only qualified personnel can test the circuit board.Ensure that the tester you are using is suitable for the purpose and calibrated for the task.
