  Allen Bradley 1756-L72 is a ControlLogix series programmable automation controller(PAC).It has available 4 MB of user memory for data and logic,as well as 0.98 MB of I/O memory.The controller comes with a 1 GB SD card 1784-SD1,which you can use as an optional non-volatile memory.If the storage space is not enough,you can also upgrade it to 2 GB using a 1784-SD2 card.It is recommended to install SD cards on the controller and only use SD cards sold by Rockwell Automation,as these cards have been fully tested and can be used in conjunction with the controller.Using other SD cards may result in data loss or damage.SD cards are mainly used to store diagnostic data that is automatically written when a fault occurs.Rockwell Automation uses this data for troubleshooting.The 1756-L72 controller is also equipped with three capacitor energy storage modules.1756-ESMCAP/1756-ESMCAPK are detachable modules available in each controller.Another detachable module is 1756-ESMNSE/1756-ESMNSEK,with no remaining WallClockTime backup power supply.The only non detachable module is 1756-ESMNRM/1756-ESMNRMK,which helps prevent USB connections and SD card usage to help protect the controller.

  You can use the 1756-L72 controller with specific modules to create an Armor ControlLogix controller.When paired with similar controllers and located in the same ControlNet network,it can support controller redundancy.The ControlLogix chassis compatible with this controller include 1756-A4,1756-A4K,1756-A7,1756-A7K,1756-A10,1756-A10K,1756-A13,1756-A13K,1756-A17,and 1756-A17K.It also features a full speed USB 2.0 port and a 4-character alphanumeric display for you to view its current status.The 1756-L72 controller provides multiple communication options,including Data Highway Plus,DeviceNet,Ethernet/IP,remote I/O,SynchLink,ControlNet,and third-party process and device networks.The controller has a continuous isolation voltage of 30 volts and has been type tested for 60 seconds at 500 volts AC voltage.It has a current consumption of 5 mA at 1.2 V DC voltage and 800 mA at 5.1 V DC voltage.The power consumption of the 1756-L72 controller is 2.5 watts and the heat dissipation is 8.5 BTU/hour.The storage temperature range of the controller is-40 to 85 degrees Celsius,while its operating temperature range is 0 to 60 degrees Celsius.The vibration at 10 to 500 Hz is 2 G,the working shock is 30 G,and the non working shock is 50 G.
