  MVME55006E-0163 is a single board computer based on the PowerPC77455 processor and Marvell GT-64260B main bridge,with dual PCI interfaces and memory controllers.The onboard payload includes two PMC slots,two SDRAM groups,an expansion connector for two additional SDRAM groups,an 8MB boot flash ROM,a 10/100/1000 Ethernet port,a 10/100 Ethernet port,a 32MB expansion flash ROM,two serial ports,and an NVRAM and real-time clock.

  MVME55006E-0163 uses an MPC7457 processor running at a frequency of 1 GHz,making it highly suitable for data-intensive applications.The MVME5500 not only provides better processor performance;It also provides balanced performance of processors,memory,dual independent local buses,and I/O subsystems.

  The powerful Marvell system controller supports a 133 MHz host bus and a 133 MHz SDRAM memory bus,perfectly matched with high-speed processors.To match system I/O with excellent processor performance,the MVME5500 offers dual 64 bit,33/66 MHz PCI bus.Each PCI bus has a PMC site that supports cards running at 33 or 66 MHz.The Universe II VME interface and PMCspan connector are isolated from PMC sites on a dedicated 33 MHz PCI bus segment,so that both PMC sites can operate at 66 MHz.
