  POWERMACS 4000 requires one main controller per system.The main controller is responsible for external communication and is equipped with most of the fieldbuses used in modern production lines(optional).The main controller can operate as an auxiliary controller.There are two versions of auxiliary controllers;Ethernet switch present or absent in the backplane.
