  The 1784-KT module is a module installed on a personal computer that can interface with dd+networks.The 1784KT module is a security card that can be installed in both 8-bit and 16-bit security card slots.

  The Allen Bradley 1784-KT module is a module that allows terminals,workstations,and personal computers to communicate with Allen Bradley controllers and processors through a dd+network or direct connection.The 1784KT module is a half size 8-bit bar card that can be installed in any 16 bit or 8-bit bar card expansion slot.The 1784-KT module enables the computer to act as an active node on the DH+network,increasing application response by providing higher throughput than RS-232 networks,and enabling a single cable connection with PLC-5,PLC-3,and PLC-2 controllers.

  The 1784-KT module has been tested on many systems.The output connector on the 1784-KT module is a 62 pin D-type housing connector.The outputs available on the 1784-KT module include DD+,PLC-3 serial interface,and PLC-2 serial interface outputs.The hardware interrupts supported by the 1784KT module are IRQ3(COM2),IRQ4,IRQ5,and IRQ7 interrupts.Asynchronous connection with PLC-2/PLC-3 controller supports 7600 and 19200 baud.The power requirements of the 57.6KBOD.1784-KT module with synchronous data of DD+are:0.4 amperes for 5 volts DC and 0.04 amperes for 12 volts DC.The corresponding power consumption is 2 watts and 0.48 watts,respectively.The recommended relative humidity range is 5-95%,and the operating temperature range of this module is 32-130 degrees Fahrenheit.
