  P0101AG FBM242 FOXBORO is a discrete output interface module designed for industrial control systems.It provides reliable and accurate discrete output signals,suitable for a wide range of applications.

  The compact FBM242 discrete output interface module contains 16 discrete output channels from external sources,with a rated current of up to 2 A at 60 V dc.It is a part of the Compact 200 series I/O subsystem described in the Overview of the Compact 200 series I/O subsystem.The relevant termination components(TA)provide discrete outputs for 2 A loads at 60 V DC,relay outputs(120 V AC/125 V DC or 240 V AC),or relay outputs with distribution and fuses.Eachoutput is completely isolated from other channels and grounding.This module connects the electrical output signal of the control processor to the on-site equipment.It executes digital I/O applications with ladder logic support and provides fault safe configuration options for output.

  The design of the compact FBM242 module is narrower than the standard 200 series FBM.It has a sturdy exterior of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene(ABS)for physical protection of circuits.According to ISA standard S71.04,the housing designed specifically for installing FBM can provide various levels of environmental protection,up to harsh environments(G3 level).

  Installed on a compact 200 series backplane,which is installed horizontally or in a rack,including signal connectors for redundant fieldbuses,redundant independent DC power supplies,and termination cables.The two screws on the FBM secure the module to the Compact 200 series backplane.Modules can be disassembled/replaced without the need to disassemble on-site equipment termination cables,power or communication cables.

  The redundant 2 Mbps module fieldbus interface used by the fieldbus communication module or control processor with the FBM.CompactFBM242 accepts communication from any path(Aor B)of the redundant 2Mbps fieldbus-if one path fails or shuts down at the system level,the module will continue to communicate through the active path.
