  These GPii extenders use buffered transmission technology to transmit data at the fastest speed in the industry while keeping wiring costs to a minimum.Each extension program has an error checking scheme to ensure that there are no error links.The maximum data transfer rate using the HS488 protocol exceeds the maximum transfer rate of GPIB-140A extension by more than 2.8 bytes per second.

  GPIB-140A/2 can extend the cables of the GPIB system by two kilometers without affecting the integrity of the GPIB or requiring software modifications.This accessory uses buffering transmission technology,with a data transfer rate of up to 1.1 Mb/s(IEEE 488.1)or 2.8 Mb/s(HS488).GPIB-140A/2 can also increase the maximum number of GPIB devices in the GPIB system from 15 to 26.
