  The 3500/61 temperature monitor provides 6 temperature monitoring channels and accepts temperature inputs from both resistance temperature detectors(RTDs)and thermocouples(TC).The module has conditioned these inputs and compared them with user programmable alarm points.3500/61 provides the same functionality,except that it provides recorder outputs for its six channels.

  The user program module performs RTD or TC temperature measurements using 3500 rack configuration software.Different I/O modules can be used in non isolated or isolated versions of RTD/TC.Users can configure RTD/TC non standalone versions to accept TC or RTD,or a mixture of TC and RTD inputs.The TC isolated version provides 250VDC channel to channel isolation to prevent external interference.

  When used in a three module redundant(TMR)configuration,temperature monitors must be installed in three adjacent groups.In this configuration,the system uses two types of voting to ensure accurate operation and avoid single points of failure.
