  The SCXI-1160 NI 16 Channel Universal Relay Switch Module is used for SCXI's 16 Channel Universal Switch Module-SCXI-1160 is a universal switch module equipped with an independent Single Pole Double Throw(SPDT)(also known as Form C)latch relay,with very low conduction resistance and low thermal offset.These relays are suitable for switching,routing,and controlling intermediate level signals.Each channel has normally closed(NC),normally open(NO),and common(COM)terminals.

  The relay of the SCXI-1160 NI 16 channel universal relay switch module can switch,route,and control medium-sized signals The maximum switching speed of the SCXI switch module is 50 operations per second,which is completely software programmable.The switch capacity of this module is 2a250VRMS or 2a30VDC.

  The SCXI-1160 NI 16 channel universal relay switch module refers to one or more chassis that can use multiple modules to control and switch thousands of signals.When used together with the SCXI chassis,the chassis can function as a controller or switch in several types of applications,such as industrial process monitoring,production testing,and laboratory testing.This device uses compatible Nikon switch driver software with software packages,such as Laboratory VIEW and Laboratory Window/CVI.

  There are five jumper NI relay switch modules.Firstly,jumper W1 connects a pull-up resistor to the server data on the rear signal connector.Jumpers W2,W3,and W4 will be linked to the DOS board or MIO board if SCXI-1160 is used.If SCXI does not have any cables to the signal connectors at the back,then the arrangement of these jumpers is not important.Finally,the jumper W5 carries the SCXI bus Miso cable,which,after buffering,goes to the server data at the back signal connector.This relay switch module cannot enter the analog backplane to protect it from faults when high voltage appears on the relay contacts.The size of the instrument is 1.2x6.8x8.0 inches
