  The 1756-N2 A-B ControlLogix slot cover is an easy-to-use,reliable,durable,and affordable cover that can be used to protect exposed circuits of unused slots in the ControlLogix chassis.

  1756-N2 is a kit that includes two(2)slot filler modules and is part of the Allen Bradley Logix controller platform.This module is used to protect exposed circuits in idle slots of the ControlLogix chassis.It has a single slot width and does not require any current to be drawn from the backplane.

  1756-N2 is Allen Bradley's slot filler module package.This package consists of two(2)passive modules,such as an enclosure without electronic circuits.In more colloquial terms,this module,also known as a virtual module,covers and protects the exposed circuits of the empty slots in the 1756 ControlLogix system.1756-N2 is designed as a single slot wide virtual module.But it does not occupy the chassis slot;It only covers electronic circuits.This module is very suitable for installation positions with a high amount or quantity of dust particles or small pollutants that may adhere to the backboard.It also provides an additional layer of protection against gases,vapors,and other industrial pollutants.There are multiple reasons for creating backplane slots.Firstly,due to the strategic partitioning of the system to maintain the correct distribution of I/O modules during modifications.In addition,idle backplane slots have been created as expansion measures.Finally,an empty slot is also created to retain the slot configuration through module suppression.Through module suppression,specific allocations can be configured for slots even if the actual module is not yet available or not installed during a specific time period.By suppressing the module,hardware reconfiguration can be avoided,thereby preventing the running system from stopping.In all mentioned cases,1756-N2 applies.1756-N2 does not contain any electronic circuits,so it can be installed and disassembled regardless of whether it is powered on or not.
