WR31 (W-3Re)

It has a special non-sag property and many applications: heaters for various electronic tubes or small lamps. It also is the ideal material for probe pin because of its hardness.

WR3 and WR25(W-3Re and W-25Re)

They are used as  thermal couple wire, WR3 as positive lead wire; WR25as negative lead wire;

WR5 and WR26 (W-5Re and W-26Re)

They are used as  thermal couple wire, WR5 as positive lead wire; WR26 as negative lead wire;

WR5 and WR20 (W-5Re and W-20Re)

They are used as  thermal couple wire, WR5 as positive lead wire; WR20 as negative lead wire;

Brief Description:

 Because of the outstanding performance of Rhenium mentioned in the following table, when adding rhenium into tungsten,W-Re alloy are formed. Their electrical property, high-temperature ductility and processing ability are promoted and strengthened to a large extent which are available to the wide application on high temperature parts like heaters,thermocouples and cathode tubes etc.UMM produce customized W-Re alloys products with various specifications in the shapes of wire, rod, pole, plate and other irregular parts.

Tungsten-rhenium wire models are mainly: WRe3, WRe5, WRe20, WRe25, WRe26. 

Application: Tungsten can be added 3%, 5%, 25% and 26% of rhenium to form tungsten rhenium alloy for high temperature thermocouple wire and the cathode wire.  It has good high-temperature ductility, used in the electronics industry, nuclear industry and aerospace industries.

Production Process

 1: raw material preparation

2: material separation
Tungsten powder and ammonium rhenium powder were separated in the separator, so that agglomerated particles well dispersed

3: Mixing
The separation had separated tungsten powder and ammonium rhenium powder together were loaded efficient mixer mixing, mixing time 10-24 hours

4: reduction treatment
Mixed alloy powder under the protection of hydrogen reduction treatment. Reduction treatment in three stages:
The first stage: the reduction temperature is 200-350 ° time 1-2h
The second stage: the reduction temperature is 400-600 ° time 1-2h
The third stage: the reduction temperature is 700-900 ° time 1-2h

5: second mixing

6: Pressure sintering

7: swaging, drawing
