  REF601 serves as a digital feeder protection device for protecting and controlling public utilities and industrial power systems

  The REF601 feeder protection and measurement and control device,as a dedicated feeder protection and measurement and control device,aims to protect and control public utilities and industrial power systems in the primary and secondary distribution networks.The REF601 is used as a protective measurement and control device by ABB Relion®A member of the 605 product family.

  Compared to its peers,this device has excellent performance and availability,providing an excellent configuration that integrates protection,monitoring,and control functions.

  The REF601 feeder protection and measurement and control device provides primary protection for overhead lines and cable feeders in distribution and secondary distribution networks.In addition,the inrush current stabilization function allows the device to be used as the main protection for distribution transformers.

  As an alternative to conventional current transformers,this type of device has a Rogowski current sensor version that helps reduce the volume of medium voltage switchgear,improve performance,and make it more standardized.

  REF601 supports MODBUS RTU and IEC 60870-5-103 communication through two wire RS485.
