  RET650 provides the best'off the shelf'solution for protecting two winding and three winding transformers.The RET650 IED(Intelligent Electronic Device)variant,which has undergone type testing,is delivered with complete functionality and default parameters configured for easy product handling-from ordering,engineering,and debugging to reliable operation.

  The 650 series IEDs(Intelligent Electronic Devices)have many useful features,such as significantly reduced number of parameter settings and expanded IED HMI functionality,including 15 dynamic three color indicator LEDs per page(up to three pages)and configurable button shortcuts for different operations.

  In the 650 series IEDs,the most basic parameters are set before leaving the factory.You only need to set parameters specific to your application.This allows you to quickly put IEDs into operation.The application manual includes examples of settings that provide support for your protection engineer.

  RET650 provides the best coverage range for inter turn faults in power transformer windings,and its unique negative sequence internal/external fault discriminator is faster than traditional stable transformer differential protection functions.It can also achieve extremely sensitive protection to detect constantly changing internal faults,so that the system can trip before a more severe fault with severe damage occurs.RET650 has low requirements for the main CT and does not require an intermediate CT.

  The low impedance limited grounding fault function of all direct or low impedance grounded windings provides excellent stability for external faults.Each winding is individually protected without the need for harmonic stability,ensuring high sensitivity and fast tripping.The directional zero sequence current standard added to this function improves safety.

  The overcurrent function provides necessary backup protection.The thermal overload function can prevent the transformer from being damaged due to overload.Circuit breaker fault protection allows for high-speed backup tripping of surrounding circuit breakers and re tripping of its own circuit breaker.
