  Application Description

  TP8301 is a high power factor primary feedback flyback LED constant current driving chip.The chip integrates a single-stage active power factor calibration circuit,which can achieve a large amount of power factor and a small amount of Total harmonic distortion of input current,and is particularly suitable for the application of performance isolated LED lighting system in the full voltage input range of 8SVAC~265VAC.TP8301 operates in the mode of primary feedback and quasi resonant switching,achieving LED constant current output and simple power tube switching.

  Startup process

  After the system is powered on,the bus voltage charges the VCC capacitor through the starting resistor.When the VCC reaches the opening threshold of the voltage chip,the control circuit inside TP8301 begins to work.At this point,the chip first pre charges the RC network of COMP,and the COMP voltage quickly rises to 1.55V.After the pre charging of COMP is completed,the power transistor begins to switch.At this time,the LED output voltage starts to rise from zero,and the COMP voltage also rises.After the LED output voltage is established,the auxiliary winding of the transformer begins to supply power to the VCC,and the chip startup is completed.Pre charging time of COMP can be adjusted through R COMP,and larger R COMP can obtain larger loop Phase margin.
