  The PM783F 3BDH000364R0002 central processing unit(CPU)module is equipped with a high-performance processor to achieve fast cycle time.It is equipped with an onboard 100 Mbit/s Ethernet connection for communication between controllers,operator stations,and engineering tools.Two serial line interfaces complete the connection.One interface can be used for Modbus communication,while the other interface is used for diagnosis.The CPU has 10 MB of memory,with 2 MB being the backup battery.For demanding applications,eight cyclic and priority driven tasks with adjustable cycle times can be configured,as well as cyclic PLC type tasks that run as quickly as possible.The small front panel display screen displays status and diagnostic information directly on the module.In addition,you can lock the controller with a key.This means that the controller can be prevented from downloading applications and firmware to enhance security.If the controller is locked or unlocked,the status will be displayed on the display screen.The S700 I/O module can be directly inserted into the CPU module or used for remote I/O through PROFIBUS.A controller can connect up to eight modules.The third-party I/O can be remotely controlled through MODBUS ASCII/RTU,IEC 60870-5-101 protocol,or connected through PROFIBUS.The communication speed between the CPU and the local S700 I/O module is very fast.The I/O scan time can be 2 ms.Each channel achieves short circuit and broken wire detection.A controller can connect up to eight modules.The third-party I/O can be remotely controlled through MODBUS ASCII/RTU,IEC 60870-5-101 protocol,or connected through PROFIBUS.The communication speed between the CPU and the local S700 I/O module is very fast.The I/O scan time can be 2 ms.Each channel achieves short circuit and broken wire detection.A controller can connect up to eight modules.The third-party I/O can be remotely controlled through MODBUS ASCII/RTU,IEC 60870-5-101 protocol,or connected through PROFIBUS.The communication speed between the CPU and the local S700 I/O module is very fast.The I/O scan time can be 2 ms.Each channel achieves short circuit and broken wire detection.
