  The F-series FENA-11 is a 1-port Ethernet adapter that supports multiple communication protocols:PROFINET IO,EtherNet/IP,and Modbus TCP.The selection of the protocol is achieved through a parameter within the frequency converter.

  PROFINET

  The FENA-11 Ethernet adapter supports PROFINET IO DP-V1 communication.Through the FENA-01/-11 module,PROFINET networks can utilize PROFIdrive configuration files or ABB frequency converter configuration files.In addition,there are two transparent modes available-for 16 bit and 32 bit words,respectively.

  EtherNet/IP

  The FENA Ethernet adapter is used as an EtherNet/IP server and supports ODVA AC/DC Drive,ABB frequency converter,and Transparent configuration files.The adapter module supports both explicit messages that set each attribute of a class separately,as well as implicit messages that use input and output instances.

  Modbus TCP

  The adapter module is used as a Modbus TCP server,supporting ABB frequency converters and Transparent configuration files.Supports universal read/write single register function codes and multi register function codes.
