Product Description
UNITROL 1005 is an automatic voltage regulator(AVR)for synchronous motors up to 80 MVA.AVR is used for indirectly excited synchronous motors and motor excitation.AVR can also be used as a reactive power regulator,power factor regulator,or excitation current regulator.
UNITROL 1005-0011 ECO 3BHE043576R0011 ABB extends to low-end excitation applications,with a maximum excitation current of up to 5a.DC.Like all units developing 1000 products,Unit 1005 is based on the same target software source code and shares the same simulation model,making it very suitable for demanding grid code applications.

For detailed instructions on debugging,please refer to the user manual.
Overview of debugging steps:
1.Ensure that all connections are correct and secure.
2.Download the configuration file to AVR.Ensure that the parameters are correct and correct.
3.Check if the digital and analog I/O are in a quiescent state.
4.Test under the following operating conditions of the motor:
a)Static
Measure the resistance of the exciter stator winding.
b)Empty
Increase the motor speed to the rated value.
Start excitation in manual mode and increase the manual set point until the terminal voltage reaches 50%.
Verify the measurement value of AVR using CMT 1000 and compare it with other equipment used,such as protective devices.
Increase the set point until the motor voltage reaches 100%,and then use the AVR debugging wizard to debug the AVR.
?Perform Step response tests in manual and automatic modes to verify performance.
c)Machine grid connection
?Pre select automatic mode(voltage regulator).
Add automatic set points to verify the polarity of IM measurements.Q must be increased.
d)Perform a Step response test in manual mode and direct VAR regulator mode to verify performance.
5.Final debugging
a)Save the parameters on AVR and verify the status with CMT 1000.
b)Save backup files for project documents
