  Product Description

  The REF620 feeder protection and measurement and control device,as a dedicated feeder protection device,is specifically designed to protect,control,measure,and monitor public and industrial power grids,including radiation,circular,and mesh power grids.REF620 provides feeder overcurrent and ground fault protection,which can be applied to neutral ungrounded networks and resistance or impedance neutral grounded networks.In addition,utilizing the advanced inter station communication function of the device,REF620 can also be used for protection in circular mesh distribution networks or radiation networks.

  The REF620 feeder protection and measurement and control device is available in two configurations:single bus and double bus.Each bus configuration also has one or two circuit breakers and multiple switchgear configurations to choose from.The device supports a large number of manual and electric isolation switches and grounding switches.The number of available I/Os can be increased according to the needs of ABB's RIO600 remote I/O device.

  The REF620 IEC feeder protection and measurement and control device is characterized by supporting the substation IEC61850 communication standard,covering vertical and horizontal communication,including GOOSE messages with switch signal and analog signal,as well as setting based on IEC 61850-8-1.REF620 also supports DNP3,IEC 60870-5-103,and Modbus®Regulations.REF620 provides an optional Ethernet port or a ring self-healing RSTP communication for redundant Ethernet without delay in case of communication failure through PRP or HSR protocols.This solution eliminates the impact of Single point of failure and improves communication reliability.This solution can be applied to Ethernet based IEC 61850,Modbus®And DNP3 protocol.
