Product Description
AC-1 is the access control module of Continuum, providing complete I/O for access control doors or entrances in a compact module.AC-1 can be located near the access control door for local control and reducing wiring costs;Alternatively, several AC-1 modules can be combined and installed with DIN rails for centralized control.
AC-1 provides Wiegand card input for Wiegand swiping and proximity cards, with each card capable of reading up to 64 bits. The reader has a power of 50mA at 5V.The module itself can be powered by a voltage source with a range of 10-28 VDC.AC-1 has two 5A and C type relays, one for door locks and the other for local alarms. Each output has an overall automatic switch for manual operation,as well as software feedback on the switch position.
Up to three monitoring alarm inputs can be used for door status contacts, exit request devices, cabinet Tamper resistance switches,or any other two or three state(on/off/fault)alarm devices.
Keyboard control
AC-1 supports Wiegand output keyboard. To simplify installation and reduce wiring costs, the Wiegand output combination can use a reader/keyboard.In this case, keyboard data enters the module through the card reader data cable. In addition,AC-1 allows for separate wiring of Wiegand output keyboards and readers.
access control
During the normal operation of AC-1,access decisions are made in the Continuous NetController CPU,which holds up to 75000"local"personnel records. In addition, the event buffer of NetController is software configurable to allow for
Optimized memory usage. If network communication is interrupted,AC-1 will revert to programmable degraded mode operation, providing uninterrupted card access to the EEPROM in each AC-1 module using site codes and other degraded mode parameters stored in non volatile memory.
The door can be configured to operate only based on the site code, site code plus card, card plus personal ID number(PIN)or keyboard. The operation mode of the door can even be changed according to the time of the day or other events,so that it can be easily used in Plain English through Andover Controls®programming language Each keyboard can also allow the input of coercion alarm codes, which can initiate alarm sequences on any AC-1 controller or Continuum workstation.Time based anti turn back and entry exit anti turn back can be used to prevent tailgating.Entry/exit anti turn back and can be executed by readers located on different AC-1 controllers on the network.Using Plain English,AC-1 can also be used for customized access control sequences, such as the two person rule, optical Revolving door control, and personnel trap configuration.
application area
The AC-1 ANDOVER access control module is suitable for various access control scenarios, such as community access control, enterprise access control, etc.
