  The Fireye EP160,EP161(extended MTFI),EP163(programmable),EP170 and EP174(early spark termination),EP165,EP166(ignition stabilization),or EP177(early spark termination and programmable operating parameters)programmer modules are used in conjunction with the FLAME-MONITOR burner management control system(P/N E100 and E110).Several operational characteristics of the programmer are determined by six(6)dual inline switches located on the side of the programmer.These features include a forced blower motor start delay(tilt switch 1),extended purge time(DIP switches 3,4,and 5),and a requirement for the 3-P operation interlock circuit to start the operating cycle(DIP switch 6).DIP switch 2 is not active.The features of models EP163 and EP177 are programmed through the ED510 display module,rather than through dipswitch.

  The EP160 programmer provides startup programming,safety startup checks,and flame monitoring supervision.They ensure that the damper is open(high purge)for pre purge,proof of low fire position,and safety check of the fuel valve end switch.The operation interlocking circuit on the FLAME-MONITOR system continuously monitors the limit switch,air flow switch,and fuel pressure switch.Programmer control design:If any of these circuits are disconnected at an inappropriate point in the control cycle,safety locking is activated.

  The programmer module will set the ignition time within four(4)seconds(maximum)after the flame failure(two(2)seconds for EP165 and EP166),or if no flame is detected at the end of the ignition test.After safety locking,the alarm circuit will be powered on.

  The programmer module includes an RJ45 connector for integrated or remote interface alphanumeric display(P/N ED510).It is also backward compatible with the ED500 display.It includes two(2)additional RJ type connectors for connecting to multi-point configurations or allowing communication through the Modbus protocol.The programmer will also communicate with the E500 through the ED550 cable to provide backward compatibility.Programmers are the core of the FLAME-MONITOR system,characterized by ease of installation.It is based on a microprocessor and stores burner cycles,burner hours,system hours,and lock history records(with burner cycles and burner hour timestamps).It can be communicated through the ED510 alphanumeric display,E500 communication interface,InTouch wireless monitoring system,or Modbus.If replaced,the new programmer card will begin to accumulate new history.

  DIP switch with selectable operation

  In programmer models with engineering code 39 and above,PPC5000 can recognize new cycles,and tilt adjustment switch 1 now calls a 3-second delay motor,terminal M,when operating the switch to close the blower.During rapid recycling,all of this will force terminal M to power off for 3 seconds.
