SITOP BUF8600 buffer module
Buffering Short Term Power Failure
The buffer module using electrolytic capacitors and buffering power supply for up to 600 ms under a 40 A load current can be used to provide protection against transient voltage drops (local power outages) on the incoming side. Models equipped with double-layer capacitors (supercapacitors) can buffer up to 20 seconds of longer power outages at 40 A. Due to the low buffering current and long buffering time, the industrial PC can be manually turned off as needed.
1. The basic device can be combined with up to two buffer modules to meet the requirements
2. Use system ring clamps for transmitting system data and power, easy to connect
3. Installation width: 60/125 mm
SITOP PSU8600- Excellent PROFINET Power System
Integrated power supply has become a reality and a future trend. SITOP PSU8600 is the first fully integrated power system in fully integrated automation. This power supply can not only be configured for engineering in TIA Portal or communicate with third-party automation systems through OPC UA, but also control the output during the production process. For example, adjusting the voltage and current of each output, the integrated overload protection function can monitor each output. To meet specific requirements, such as buffering power supply faults or increasing the number of outputs, multiple system components can be added without the need for additional wiring. PROFINET provides comprehensive diagnostic and maintenance information. SITOP provides effective support for electrical energy management in factories or machinery equipment, from recording specific output electrical energy data to turning on and off outputs through PROFIenergy. Through this approach, SITOP PSU8600 has established new standards in terms of factory reliability and efficiency.
Highlight: Integrated power supply and system
Complex facilities have high requirements for their various components in terms of efficiency, flexibility, and reliability. The innovative SITOP PSU8600 power system can meet all requirements due to its excellent functionality, diagnostic capabilities, comprehensive TIA integration, open communication network, and modular scalability.
Comprehensive system integration
Due to its comprehensive integration in Total Integrated Automation (TIA), SITOP PSU8600 is a power system that can be easily and quickly configured in the TIA Portal. It provides detailed evaluation of operational and diagnostic data, as well as energy management functionality. Moreover, the same functionality can be achieved through open communication via OPC UA or through SITOP Manager. The SITOP PSU8600, which has industrial Ethernet/PROFINET switch functionality and a basic device with two ports, can be effectively integrated into bus and ring structures in existing automation networks. With the help of an integrated web server, power monitoring or diagnosis can also be remotely performed.
Selectivity and monitoring bring excellent reliability
SITOP PSU8600 provides an excellent foundation for early identification and elimination of faults, initiating preventive maintenance, and avoiding device shutdowns. For example, it can monitor all outputs and selectively turn off outputs during fault development. Therefore, a short circuit or overload on a specific load will not cause the entire device or system to malfunction. The SITOP PSU8600 offers an advantage in providing 50% additional power for short-term overload and buffering up to 20 seconds of power failure with a full load current of 40 A. In addition, the working mode, battery level, and remaining power supply time in buffer mode of the buffer module and battery module have become ideal indicators for evaluating power supply conditions.

Space saving power pack
SITOP PSU8600 offers numerous functional features in a compact design. It not only provides 50% additional power for short-term overload, but also integrates overload monitoring for each output. Therefore, even when using basic devices, additional circuit breakers can be used; Due to the installation width being only 80-125 mm, they can significantly save space inside the control cabinet. This power supply has an efficiency of up to 94%, ensuring extremely low heat loss.
User friendly engineering configuration
Through SITOP PSU8600, for the first time, power can be fully integrated into open, networked automation applications and TIA Portal. The engineering configuration in TIA Portal is extremely easy, fast, and convenient. For example, establishing a network connection through PROFINET, selecting a power source, and setting parameters (including turning on and off specific outputs). The SIMATIC S7 user program's pre built function blocks support running and diagnostic data analysis, and the free WinCC panel is used to set up operations and monitoring. To integrate into a manufacturer independent network, communication can be selected through OPC UA or SITOP Manager. All program controlled parameter settings and diagnostic functions are also provided through these paths.
