Galvanized steel pipes are divided into cold galvanized steel pipes and hot-dip galvanized steel pipes. Cold galvanized steel pipes have been banned, while the latter is still temporarily recommended for use by the state. In the 1960s and 1970s, developed countries internationally began to develop new types of pipes and gradually banned the use of galvanized pipes. The Ministry of Construction of China and three other ministries also issued a document clearly stating that galvanized pipes should not be used as water supply pipes starting from 2000. Cold water pipes in new residential areas rarely use galvanized pipes anymore, although some residential areas still use galvanized pipes for hot water pipes.
Advantages:
1.Excellent corrosion resistance: Zinc has an active chemical property and can form a dense basic zinc carbonate film in the air, which effectively isolates the steel matrix from the corrosive medium, thereby extending the service life of the steel pipe. The corrosion resistance of galvanized steel pipes is several times or even dozens of times that of ordinary steel pipes.
2.Good mechanical properties: Galvanized steel pipes inherit the excellent mechanical properties of steel pipes, have high strength, hardness and toughness, and can withstand greater pressure and impact.
3.Beautiful and durable: The surface of the galvanized layer is smooth and bright, with good decorative effect, and can also effectively prevent the surface of the steel pipe from rusting, maintaining long-term beauty.
4.Good processing performance: Galvanized steel pipes can be bent, cut, welded and other processing, which is convenient for installation and use.
Economical and practical: Compared with other anti-corrosion steel pipes, galvanized steel pipes are relatively cheap and cost-effective.

Note: The mechanical properties of steel are important indicators to ensure the final performance (mechanical properties) of steel, which depend on the chemical composition and heat treatment system of the steel. In the steel pipe standards, according to different usage requirements, tensile properties (tensile strength, yield strength or yield point, elongation), hardness, toughness indicators, and high and low temperature performance required by users are specified.
Steel Grade: Q215A; Q215B; Q235A; Q235B.

Usage of Galvanized Steel Pipes
The commonly referred galvanized pipes, the type of iron pipes used for gas and heating, are also galvanized pipes. As water pipes, after using for several years, a large amount of rust scale is produced inside the galvanized pipes. The yellow water flowing out not only pollutes the sanitary ware but also contains bacteria that breed on the rough inner walls. The rust corrosion causes the content of heavy metals in the water to be too high, which severely endangers human health.
