The design core of Bray/McCanalok valve seat design

A unique two-piece valve seat structure, including an elastic booster wrapped around the entire valve seat. The component is secured to the valve body groove by a surface trimmed seat locator pin. This simple and reliable design provides many unique advantages, including:

-The booster is completely isolated from the pipeline medium by the valve seat.

Regardless of the position of the valve plate, the serrations on the valve body groove and seat locator can secure the valve seat.

The fully surfaced valve seat locator uses bolted connections to the valve body, locking the valve seat in the correct position. Even when there is no matching flange, the valve seat is securely fixed.

The situation where the valve plate approaches but the valve seat is not under force.

The valve plate is in the closed position and is not under pipeline pressure.

Quality and efficient service

After testing at 720psi pressure for over 100. 000 times, the valve seat remains in good condition and continues to provide a bi-directional seal with zero leakage. Even after cycling over 878, 000 times at a pressure of 2 psi, the Biay/McCaiualok high-performance valve still maintains a zero leakage bi-directional seal.

The valve seat with reliable sealing and good support capacity is energized by the pressure of the valve plate and pipeline. The higher the pipeline pressure, the better the sealing ability. In lower pressure and vacuum conditions, the design of this energized valve seat can provide superior sealing performance and longer service life.

For pipeline medium fluid, it provides zero leakage bidirectional sealing function.

The valve seat itself has the ability to self adjust to temperature changes and wear conditions.

Replacing the valve seat is extremely easy, as long as the valve seat locator is removed, the valve plate is turned to the closed position, and a new valve seat component is placed in the groove of the valve body. This is a simple program that will not affect the valve plate and stem.

Design of Double Eccentricity of Valve Plate and Valve Stem

The dual eccentricity design of Bray/McCaiiuialok reduces seat wear and ensures bi-directional airtight closing function throughout the entire pressure range.

At the starting point of the valve seat, the eccentric valve plate produces a cam like effect, which can be pulled away from the valve seat without excessive pressure. The cam like effect of the valve plate at the starting position reduces seat wear and minimizes seat deformation as much as possible. When the valve is opened, due to the fact that the valve plate does not contact the valve seat, the service life of the valve seat is extended and the operating torque is very low. When the valve is closed, this cam like action converts the rotary motion of the valve into a straight stroke motion, effectively pushing the valve plate to touch the valve seat. The wiping effect of the valve plate on the valve seat avoids the accumulation of foreign objects such as mud and suspended solids.
